Typhoon paralyses a whole country
I had only a five day lay over in Taipei but the stay was very worthwhile. I got the chance to stay with a South African friend Nickey, her husband Ying Jie and their daughter Skye. I have met Nickey two years earlier in Thailand. I visited Taipei and some sights around but couldn’t make it for a trip to the interior and Southern parts of Taiwan. Therefore I was lucky enough to experience a class 5 Typhoon which paralysed the whole country but gave me some time to spend with my friends at home.
